Disability-specific training [rehabilitation training]

Disability-specific training (rehabilitation training) enables young people who, due to their disability, cannot begin or successfully complete vocational training without support to begin a suitable vocational training program. The practical training takes place in partner companies authorized to provide training. The educational institution, as the training provider, acquires these companies and offers support and remedial instruction as well as socio-educational support.

Target group

Young people and young adults under 25 years of age seeking training positions who require special assistance due to their disability.

Participation requirements

Assignment by the employment agency or the provider of basic social security.

Goals

  • Obtaining a professional qualification
  • Subsequent permanent integration into employment that is as appropriate to the training as possible

Duration & Course

Participation usually begins at the beginning of the training year. The duration of the project depends on the training occupation.

Financial support

The project is financed by the employment agency and/or the provider of basic social security.
